We currently have an excellent opportunity in our Global Operations Center in Wheeling, WV for a Web Engineering Manager.
The Web Engineering Manager is an exempt position that provides Senior leadership to Orricks Web Engineering team. Primary responsibilities include providing technical and leadership support to a team of developers, managing web-based application development projects, and supporting operations and maintenance of existing systems. This candidate must possess the necessary ambition, skill and responsibility to lead the group this position serves as the main point of contact between IT and the business community that utilizes the internal and external web applications.
Responsibilities:
*Responsible for managing the entire web application development lifecycle, including requirements definition, design, development, testing & implementation.
*Ensures clear and concise requirements are gathered from the appropriate business groups.
*Seeks to understand how users use their applications, even beyond the scope of the project. 
*Provides clear expectations of responsibilities, deliverables and due dates to team members and business owners. 
*Manages prioritization of team member work efforts. 
*Communicates status on an ongoing basis. 
*Ensures accurate and complete technical documentation is developed and is easily located and accessed by team members. 
*Identifies and assists in implementing design and architectural improvements. 
*Researches new and upcoming technologies and provides implementation planning and guidance.
Qualifications:
*Eight to ten years experience in architecting, creating and maintaining web site applications with Microsoft technologies required.
*Minimum of five years experience in managing web development teams required.
*Technical certifications such as MCSD preferred.
*Bachelors degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university required.
*Extensive knowledge of software design methodologies, development life cycles and software project management tools required.
*Knowledgeable in industry trends and best practices in SharePoint Governance.
*Working knowledge of SharePoint upgrade/migration planning, capacity management, and integration.
*Experience in developing Site Collection management strategy.
*Demonstrates outstanding teamwork and cooperation to provide outstanding client service.
*Demonstrates a commitment to outstanding performance and to developing others.
*Excellent oral and written communication skills.
*Must possess the coaching and mentoring skills needed to promote teamwork and team morale.
*This position requires the ability to adapt to flexible work hours, travel occasionally and to carry and respond to a pager and/or cell phone on a 24x7 basis, as necessary to meet the business requirements of the Firm.
