Description:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Respond to all incoming calls / email requests, provide phone, remote and floor assistance support, as necessary. Support may include training requests that will require demonstration either via remotely or in person. Escalate calls to the next level of service as necessary and follow up with users to ensure successful problem resolution. Familiarity with all firm applications troubleshoot and resolve issues for end-users and identify general set up and configuration issues. Work with our New York headquarters and regional offices, consultants and vendors when necessary troubleshooting hardware and software. Identify and escalate problems and opportunities for improvement in our infrastructure and technology at all times. Participate in other projects as necessary in a team-oriented environment. Participate in on-call rotation for weekend and after-hours phone support coverage. Position reports to the IS Manager. Available Shift: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday. Overtime as needed. Experience:
Candidate must have at least 2 years of experience providing user/desktop support, preferably experience in a law firm. Current knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Autonomy IManage, Lotus Notes, Blackberry, Citrix and other legal applications/software and/or telecommunications administration. Expert knowledge of PC hardware, printer and network environments. Candidate should demonstrate tact, patience, empathy and problem solving skills with ability to effectively communicate with all members of the firm. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining the Firm's commitment to excellent client and end-user service. Requires excellent organizational, communication and customer service skills to meet the needs of a highly technical, fast-paced, legal environment. A successful candidate will have the ability to remain calm under pressure and efficiently manage emergencies which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems, occasionally occurring outside of regular business hours.
