Represent E*TRADE in arbitration proceedings involving retail securities customers before FINRA Dispute Resolution and other alternative dispute resolution forums. The successful candidate will be expected to handle all stages of a case from inception through award and confirmation, including, but not limited to: drafting of pleadings, discovery demands and responses motions, prehearing briefs, witness preparation arbitrator selection initial prehearing conferences and evidentiary hearings. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for periodic reporting on the status of pending matters to other business units and senior management. This is an opportunity to do significant &ldquofirst chair&rdquo litigation.
Must have a J.D or LLM and be licensed to practice law in California. Must also have 2-4 years of commercial or business litigation experience, including experience taking and defending depositions appearing in court and arguing motions. Trial experience and a familiarity with financial services litigation is preferred but not required.
 
JD or LLM, licensed to practice law and in good standing in CA.
 
This position involves some domestic travel.
